Goal: Continuous Quality Improvement & Risk Management

Advance the risk management plan and implement a robust framework for continuous quality improvement.
Regularly monitor, respond to issues, and report back on progress.
Adhere to industry and sector accreditation standards.
Maintain high standards of care and ensure accountability.
Enhance the quality and safety of services for clients and their families.

Goal: Education and Empowering Staff

Provide continuous education and training for staff and volunteers.
Develop essential soft skills: communication, teamwork, and leadership.
Promote professionalism, wellness, and mindfulness.
Implement equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) education and cultural training.
Empower the team to enhance the quality of care for clients and families.

Goal: Enhancing Community Involvement and Awareness

Continue to grow and position Matthews House Hospice as a trusted and recognized leader in our community.
Build on current efforts to strengthen branding within the community.
Strengthen community recognition of our services and programs.
Actively seek and incorporate feedback from the community.

Goal: Leveraging Technology and Innovation

Investigate, understand, and apply emerging technologies to enhance our services.
Regularly update our technological tools to ensure they remain current and effective.
Build capacity in our staff to ensure readiness for technological changes.
Invest in new technology to improve service delivery and organizational efficiency.
Leverage technology to increase volunteer impact and engagement.
Utilize data access and analysis to understand clients identify new opportunities, and address gaps in services.

Goal: Fundraising and Financial Support

Collaborate with Matthews House Hospice Foundation to enhance fundraising efforts to secure the necessary resources to sustain and grow our operations.
Advocate for financial support from the government necessary to continue providing high-quality care to our clients and their families.
Monitor programs and services to ensure the most effective utilization of all resources used by them.
