Support Matthews House Hospice and your community by making a one-time or monthly donation today!
Monthly donations provide consistent funds that enable us to plan ahead for the benefit of our residents, their families, and our community. Monthly donations will be automatically deducted from your account and a tax receipt will be issued at the end of the year.
The Dee & Mary Chantler glass blown Flower Wall in our reception area is not only breathtakingly beautiful, it also has special meaning here at Matthews House.
Flowers are purchased in memory or honour of your loved one. With each flower, you can choose to share photos, stories, and memories on the Flower Wall iPad.
Legacy gifts offer the opportunity to make a meaningful investment in the future of Matthews House Hospice, while offering substantial tax benefits as part of a long-term financial plan. Leaving a bequest in your Will allows you to make a charitable gift from the proceeds of your estate. A gift can be designated as a fixed amount or as a percentage of assets. Regardless of age or financial situation, you can ensure Matthews House remains a vital resource in our community.
Matthews House is able to accept the donation of securities via our RBC Direct trading account. This includes stocks, bonds, mutual funds, flow through shares and any other product which is held in a brokerage account and able to be traded. These Donations are made “in kind”, resulting in no capital gains tax being assessed by CRA (Canada Revenue Agency). It is our policy to sell all donations immediately upon receipt and we issue a charitable tax receipt for the value upon date of transfer. The charitable tax receipt results in a combined tax credit, which is about 44% of amounts donated by an individual in excess of $200.00 in total per year. We recommend that anyone wishing to make such a donation speak to their tax advisor.
Cheques can be made payable to Matthews House Hospice Foundation and mailed to 131 Wellington St. East, Alliston ON, L9R 1G7 or dropped off at reception. E-Transfers can be sent to donations@matthews.house.

Private Events at Matthews House Hospice
